On a Thursday

I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. September is turning out to be a busy month. The Handmade Writer e-course has started up again and it has been lovely meeting so many writers. Everyone is busy working on this week's writing project and from the ideas they have shared so far they are going to be fantastic.

There are some big changes going on behind-the-scenes at Bring Yourself. Big changes! I can't wait to show you what's coming up. It will probably all be ready in a couple of months. There is plenty of work to do first.

I am feeling ever so slightly overwhelmed by my own writing at the moment. I am re-writing, editing, re-structuring and ripping parts up and starting again. It is dis-orientating. So, I have given myself Thursdays. It is a luxury but on a Thursday I have the whole day to write, plan and think. I don't have to worry, I just have to do. I think it is going to be my favourite day of the week.

  1. It's great to give yourself that gift of a day per week. That's what I'm doing too. I've schedules those days in, a different one every week. A day just for writing, for me and the book. Good luck with the diting and re-writing, the shifting and the tightening. I can't wait to read it!

  2. Good luck with Thursdays! And the big changes sound exciting. :)

  3. Susanna - Yes, it feels like a real gift! Good to hear that you are doing that too. I like the idea of it being a different day every week!

Jayne - Thanks! They are exciting. I am busy working away.

  4. How are you? How's the book going?
Hope that all is well with you on the writing, being, making front.
    Warm wishes,

  5. Susanna - I am doing well, thanks. The book is in full swing still! I have a brilliant writing mentor and am meeting her this week so I have been getting key chapters ready for that. How are you? How is your book?

  6. Hello Amy,
I'm well, the book is lovely, really starting to shape up nicely. I can't wait to read yours! Great to have a good mentor, that's so important!
I sometimes feel like I'm running a marathon, but I cooked today- peeled potatoes, made apple compote, sorted through a huge bag of spinach and it felt like things balanced.
